I use Michelin pilot road 2,3 or 4

I tend to run them a bit softer than the book states, but the settings above should be your starting point.

As for the subframe , it's a bit of a fiddle as you need to remove a fair amount of the wiring and electrics, so a shop might charge a fair bit for labour. If you are in Devon then popkat may be able to quote you for the job as he runs a shop down that corner of the world

The problem with painting the subframe is you need the paint to be fully cured before re fitting, as to put it back on is likely to scratch the fresh paint if it not gone hard.. So although it doesn't take too long to remove, prep and paint it would need time before putting it back on, which takes a while longer than removing it.

I'm in North Devon, from Bridport I would think it'll be too far for you to leave the bike with me while it gets done and the paint fully cures.

Buy a 2nd hand one, clean, prep, paint. Leave to cure in your own time...The swap it over when ready...

Clean, prep, paint & cure the old one. sell it to cover costs...

Hi M8tey .. I fitted Pirelli Diablos to my VTR... but I found that the
Storm squared off the rear tyre noticeably ,, a great super grip but
really a little wear there ... so I changed to Pirelli Angel St ... sports touring
rear tyre and... tis the dogs " b ....s " so to speak ... little wear.. super feel , impressive
I still have my Diablo on the FW .... I suppose I am too mean to change it.. har

If you need a subframe I have two spare to choose from.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
