I used this setting for 45, 48, 50 jets, and in std and modified stage 1 engine. I don´t say it is the best setting you can achieve, but as a starting point, it is working everywhere well enough in my experience.dkj1000 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 19, 2018 7:15 am Hi Stephan,
thanks for your advice, but as far as I know those settings are for "48" pilot jets which are larger than my "45's therefore when you have "45's" they have to be screwed out further.
I really need someone to advise if they know how to remove worn needle jets (guides) or where to buy them from please

Finally got my VTR sorted
I ended up buying a second hand pair of carburetors (they were a lot cheaper than I thought they would be) which had good needle jets, swapped them over and cured the shitty low rpm running. I'm pretty happy had been working on it since early January!
I do plan to try and repair my original carbs by working out how to remove the worn needle jets and getting some new ones made.....
