If you remember, how did they ship it? USPS or other?
Best price I can find for shipping to the UK is like 40 GBP
Is there a known cure for the gauge or does it just have to replaced with a working one?
Known? Not this bloke.... Im sure a nerdy type that owns an Oscilloscope, pocket protector, and soldering iron could work it out.
