Re: Rumours, or is it???
What's the colour of the top Suzuki bloke's hair got to do with it?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: Rumours, or is it???
They did the same a few years ago, 2011, before making a return in this iteration. Kawasaki withdrew around the same time but had to run a one bike, Hayate team for 2009 to avoid litigation. Rider and bike all in black, with Marco Melandri riding if I recall correctly.
Obviously Kawasaki have stayed away but Suzuki have made a good job of mixing with the big boys.
They do seem to be the most vulnerable to changes in the economy though.

It had slipped my mind that Suzuki left Moto GP in 2011, before making a return a few years later.
IMHO running a team in Moto GP is a business, and what's happening to businesses all around us? they're folding!

Re: Rumours, or is it???
I don’t know why but I never think of the Japanese companies as being susceptible to the vagaries of the economy. I remember Suzuki and Kawasaki working in unison on designing road models, again around the last recession.
With the current climate (pardon the pun!) it’s difficult to see how motor sport in general will continue. Racing snails anyone!

Re: Rumours, or is it???
I read but don’t know if it’s true that Suzuki could be facing millions (or more) in fines due to emissions lies, like VW, they are saying it’s on a psa engine they use so not their fault
