:P :P ello Rowan,

mine has a dyno jet kit, K&N and blu flame cans,

i just bought a set of carbs off ebay yesterday and might try the factory pro kit in them and take them apart to see how they all work, what seals might need replacing in mine and try and get rid of my fueling prob, the guy at the dyno said to check for air leaks.

106.7 ATW for mine, but had 110 at another dyno last year., taking the wee plastic bits out at the front of the air box gave an instant 1hp, although i've got them back in to see if they were causing probs, might try them out again....ho hum.

do you pass kirkhill place in the mornings rowan, i see a blue storm every morning rumble by my office.

Ello Kev :P

Work for Hein Gericke on Great Northern rd, sometimes pass by Kirkhill place but not often . . .

Definately buying a jetting kit of some description, K&N's now ordered through my work (with discount 8) )

Looking into getting new sprockets with mad gear ratios as mentioned above somewhere!

Out to have a look at the airbox for the "wee plastic bits" They need to go. . . if nothing else the weight saving may help

Cheers for all your help dude, hope to see you out and about soon :D

The "wee plastic bits" is a lip on the front of the honda air filters.

AFAIK aftermarket filters dont have this lip anyway.

the plastic bits are either side of the headstock, held on by screws, infront of the air intake tube, some have said in the past that they help, others don't.

yup, i've also taken off the top piece, the K&N doesn't have the fin on the bottom bit.

there is a plastic "bracket" that screws to the top of the air filter top,on another site there is a mention of removing this "bracket" can help with breathing,it doesnt seem to do much so i have taken mine out, there was a mention of cutting the ridge off the standard air filter to help air flow but it does increase induction noise not that i have noticed it on my bike

i took all the crap out of the inside of my airbox. i know it is supposed to catch any stray oil at high revs and it stinks of hot oil without it and im not sure it helps at all

but i pretend it does since its a massive chnk of air its got in there now instead of an x ammount of plastic^3
