Iirc Kitch is your man to answer that question Mike :!:

Wasn't it something to do with no mounting place for the number plate :!:

Chris.

PS. There's a pic in this link of said item (Rincewind 7th post) plus other info on it

Got one of those fitted to mine,Mike.
The fit is OK & looks well enough when painted,as Chris said ,the back section is only deep enough for a reflector,i mounted the no.plate on a tail tidy,& moved the seat lock underneath.
Cheers

i got one of the trays from germany off ebay, it wasn't long enough to reach between the two bodywork screws on the underside of the tail unit and the tail light, it left about a 3/4 inch gap when lined up with the screws.

it should still be knocking around the garage somewhere, its unpainted and i think i drilled the holes in it, there should be more posts about them from Kitch and me. i might have even put up a pic or two at the time, they will be from this time last year when i had my bike in bits.

Yeah, the one I got was never ever going to fit. It was way too short.

TBH, even modifying it, I doubt it will look right.

I'd honestly just go with a powerbronze one.
