Hey Timbo,

I feel your pain bro, I have got "the belly" too as i also joined the singles club this weekend man. As with yours it "seems" amicable....i say "seems" because there is still the issue of "stuff" that i need to get back from her.( stuff has been discussed in previous thread... do a search for "stuff" with the commas.)

I am pretty gutted about it too fella, was with her 2years for all but a week...The truth is tho it has just fallen flat on its face time and time again and neither of us can be bothered with it anymore.

So like yourself matey i will be buying my own Xmas pressie this year.

As for what you should get, well you have a nice bike already mate......I would buy the tv and bask in HD glory....wait till jan sales tho..they are around £600-£700 for a decent one but will prob be £500 just after the 25th......u know it makes sense :)

Good luck, chin up. "the belly" will go in time...just gotta suck it in and blow it out.

John'o

Timbo,

I know how you feel at the moment, as up until the actual split it hardly feels real :!: But trust me, time is a great healer, and you will get through it and out the other side, a slightly older but wiser person :!:

Life rarely is straight forward, because if it was it would be boring

Chin up mate, and to you John'o :!:

Cheers,

Chris.

Its interesting that Women historically seen as the weaker sex and thus the victims of break ups are increasingly aware of the power they hold over a relationship and it is the men who are now becoming the hurt party when a relationship fails.

or i could be talking bollox.

whatever you do dont hit the drink..took me 4 years to realise it was a problem and when i finally came out of the stupor i found myself staring at 4 walls in a shitty bedsit and no bike.

Has taken 12 years and a loving woman to get back on track and a bike, daughter and dog ( just in case wife see this, they are in no particular order of priority)

I dont think that men becoming the hurt party is a new thing.......the truth is we stick a brave face on most of the time and only really open up when we are having "man talk" with close friends or we speak to someone in the same situation as we can relate to it.

Personally, i feel gutted inside about what has happened between me and mine. In saying that tho, I see that i am luckier than some

i.e : wasnt married, got no kids or responsibilities to anyone other than myself now. It could be a lot worse.

As for the future, well...its bright..I will get the best xmas pressie ever( as i am buying it for myself) and next year is going to be the one where i do WTF i like WhenTF i like and no one is gonna talk shizzle in my ear about it.

As for finding another woman.... fook that for now, I aint interested in getting "roped" into a relationship for some time. The last 2 were 8years and 2years consecutively and i am only 28, i been chained up since i was 18ffs and now i just wanna have fun and enjoy my own time for a bit. Selfish??...very. But who gives a damn. I know i sure wont when i am kicking back on hol somewhere warm with me boys, getting drunk and batting fems off with my stick. :)

Bring it all on........john'o

How is it that two people that have lived together for X years, can fight and bicker like kids in a playground , and have the love turn sour so it ends up in separation or divorce. Only to find that living apart makes them the best of pals.????It boggles the ol noodle so it does.. :?: :?:
