cheapest and most helpfull place ive found is http://www.jcmotors.com in the usa.
their price was £63 delivered for the pair incl gaskets.
also doing dynojet kits for £40 which is 1/2 what you will pay in the uk.

if you are going to order from them, find the part number on the site and then use the instant online support feature to arrange postage as their standard secure delivery costs more than the parts!

i don't know of anyone in the uk with stock atm, sorry :(

apparently http://www.holeshot-racing.co.uk/ in leeds are a ape stockist but you'd probably have to ring and ask if the can get storm ccts - get the part number for the cct & gasket off ape's site.

*part number is
VTR1000/Superhawk/ Firestorm (2req) - HT1000VTR (tensioner) & EC388 (gasket)
afaik any other 96mm manual tensioner with same gasket will fit the vtr.#
eg cbr600 F3/F4/F4i , cbr900, cbr919, cbr1100 blackbird
don't quote me on that, but if you find a dealer get them to check cos they should be the same part. the length and diameter of the bolt is the same, the hole centres, diameter and offset from centreline are the same.
i'll have a look on silvers and see if the oem cct part number is the same - if so there is no reason you can't widen your search a bit.

14520MBB013 LIFTER ASSY,TENSI *A Part No14520MBB013 Price£32.00
doesnt say what other models it fits.

http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-vtr1000f-sup ... E++04.html
is the honda fiche showing all the camchain parts and part numbers - note the cct (item 4) shows the earlier part superceded by the part number above, stocked by silvers.
is this an uprated cct that eliminates the breakage issue?

I need to order some manual CCT's - so just looked on the jcmotors site - can't find the manual CCT's listed anywhere, if I put in my VTR details (1997) doesn't list, if I search directly on the part number ht 1000 vtr - get "no results found" - ditto ec 388.

In fact the only results I get is if I search on Superhawk - but no CCT's shown.

Do you have to ring them and they do a special order????????

Gary from Overstock in Clearwater Florida posted an update yesterday

http://superhawkforum.com/forums/showth ... ape&page=2

Seems there has been a huge demand for Manual CCTs of late
We are shipping as we speak here and APE is sending more out daily. Again I apreciate everybodies patience. If another vendor has stock, they are fortunate.
APE has taken steps to keep more in stock instead of waiting for orders to hit a number then make them.

i got an email yesterday saying mine had been despatched with the dynojet kit.
bike's not getting built up till ther're done cos it's a lot easier to get at front and back with everything off, fairing, tank, airbox, subframe & hugger etc - got a real good view of ccts so should be easy

Fingers crossed for you Tony. At least it seems more like supply chain incompetence  than unscrupulosity.

That should be illegal putting that picture up on this forum, it's like putting a picture up of the Michael Jackson on a wonders of plastic surgery website..
