Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

I think we should have a thread for the oddest thing we've transported on our bikes. I used to be a member of a local pub pool team, and I regularly used to transport my two part cue, in its hard transport case, strapped to the side of my CBR6 with a bungy. Oddest thing on the 'storm, well an i7 PC ...

Re: what have you done to your

I keep tinkering with ideas for a new set of down pipes - large bore right from port, to keep same diameter as link pipes.... balanced Yoshi stylie :fart1: Yes, but unless you also enlarge the outlet from the head it will still be restricted at that point. If you have a look at the porting arrangem...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

bit of popping and banging though Make sure there's no leaks at the header link to can, that will cause some popping and banging. just stick your hand over the outlet while it's running and have a feel around. Do it while the exhaust is cold so you don't burn yourself, but it will soon warm up. :th...

Re: bonjour

When you say the CCTs have been done, do you mean replaced with stock ones, or swapped to manuals?

It's easy to spot the manual ones, they look very different. Even Bazza's ones (which use the standard casing) as easy to tell from original.

Tony,

Just remember, to the laws of osmosis, you are a semi permeable membrane. Consuming too much liquid will inevitably lead to it leaking out in an uncontrollable manner!

Have a nice time though :biggrin

Yes, the Red owners are the most colourist - I think it comes from deep seated insecurity.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Hi Mac, Thank you very much for the offer of your bodily parts, however I would prefer the metallic type (no I don't mean get yours pierced!). I've sent you a PM. :biggrin I don't have much to offer in return right now. Unless you'd like a 12v 1.2watt 286 dash bulb. I only needed one for the car but...

Re: Decent MPG on a 'Storm!

BTW, and just out of curiosity, I've filled up today. So this tank is two trips to work, one back from work and the the trip to Grain Storm and then fighting the wind back... Guess what... 37.9MPG! I think it's safe to say my bike likes doing 37MPG, no matter what I do to it! I see it almost made it...

Welcome to the Forum

I wonder what the reaction would be to a completely translucent 'storm? Would it still be the wrong colour?

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Thanks for the link, they do yellow ones! Woooo! Now do I go all out yellow, or yellow/black mix? Resist - REEESIST! That's a very kind offer, I was only joking, I didn't mind getting covered in brake fluid that much! Given our locations it's probably fairer if we meet in the middle - i.e. invade Ma...

Re: My little story...

Welcome to the forum. Great story! It sounds like most of us here didn't really intend to buy a 'Storm. I know I didn't. I was happily zooming about on my CBR600 when a friend bought one. Within 6 months he'd got engaged, she'd moved in, and the bike had to go (for a bargain price). I think they kin...
