Re: Digitally challenged

I was looking to get a cheap Chinese set, shorties. Read mixed reviews, many like, many complain of wobble-levers with time. So I spent a little more and went for £57 V-Trech ones instead. No wobbling at all. Really nicely made. Now I've small hands (it's quality, not quantity) and I've got to admit...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Rode the Storm to/from work today (100 mile round trip), slight HH-pad dragging so need to check lube on slide pins,
But NOTHING FELL off, meaning (1) I put it back together ok, and (2) that leftover bolt wasn't anything important!

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

QAT fitted, return cable removed Rear linkages removed, cleaned and lubed up (got my little pinkie into all those deep crevices and gave a good wiggle around...calm down Lloydie!) - which included forgetting to support the bike - DOH!! That bike's heavy - got under and lifted with shoulder while nei...

Matlock Parking Charge (& Yellow one seen)

Watching ITV news (for once) and saw a yellow storm riding with LOTS of other bikes through Matlock Bath. Most importantly bike was yellow and looking great  http://www.itv.com/news/central/2016-03-06/matlock-bath-gridlocked-as-thousands-of-riders-turn-out-in-protest/ :Argue 1: Personally, ...

Sequence: Front or rear suspension upgrade?

Hi all. Ok (apols, belly has some wine it it) got made redundant on Monday, possible opportunity already (yay), with redundancy packaging due either April OR in 6-12 months time... and I want to use some cash to upgrade/improve my stock 98 Storm. So - if I could only do ONE suspension upgrade now (w...

Re: Fast Action Twist Grip Conversion

So I removed current throttle tube to disconnect the return cable....arghhh...all that cr@p on the bar was causing the sticking.
Will clean it up, remove the cable and fit HRC QAT 1/6

Re: Fast Action Twist Grip Conversion

Cheers guys Seeing the HRC and QAT acronyms I've noticed there's a load of old threads (sorry)....so I'm looking to buy an HRC 1/6 kit: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HRC-QUICK-SHIFT-THROTTLE-PIPE-1-6-/170883856703?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item27c978b93f (assume it simply replaces std part without...

Fast Action Twist Grip Conversion

Always thought that getting peak power delivery was twisting the throttle outside my natural grip range, so awkward.

I've seen you can get replacement throttles with higher ratio cable pulling...anyone got/tried any? Worth it?

Re: optiglanz anyone

I've removed my exhaust system for a clean and looked at those products...but decided a wash and scrub then spray black would give the look I want (pics to follow once finished), adding some new shiney W2 s/s clamps to replace the awfully rusty ones that came with the bike. The silencers have been &...
