Re: Sad sad news
Back when I was a regular on here he and I exchanged a bit of banter. Always something to say; witty or otherwise. I really didn't know him but know the devastation that a passing like this leaves. My thoughts are with his family and to his pillion too. I hope she does make a full recovery both phys...

Re: Thought I'd say "Hi" again!!!
Is this good enough? It's on the spare wheel carrier of that modified white Li150 S3 Lambretta! http://i1181.photobucket.com/albums/x423/TheKRU251/DSCF2384_zps4f46e948.jpg or my Vespa? http://i1181.photobucket.com/albums/x423/TheKRU251/Vespa25-05-132_zps229ac81f.jpg or my Quadrophenia replica Lambre...

Re: Thought I'd say "Hi" again!!!
Nice welcomes back. Thanks!!!!!!!!! Feels a bit strange with no VTR to actually talk about. Gotta be a MKII I feel for the range as even my lambretta (which is tuned for 75mph which might not sound too fast, but from a 200 cc and 50 year old two stroke ain't bad on 10" wheels) can do that range...

Thought I'd say "Hi" again!!!
Miss my VTR sometimes and as my G/F that I moved counties for and sold up all my stuff has had a change of heart. Not good. I might yet get back to a VTR as threw my leg over a MK II the other day at Loomies on the A272. It's a Biker Café............... so eight of us decided to turn up on Lammies h...

Re: can you play the drums
As long as the lad is enjoying it and not being 'forced' by an over-the-top pushy dad who wants the success he missed out on to come via his kid. For those who like electronica, try playin' a theremin. I'm driving my better half nutz. I can do the start of Hawkwinds 'Silver Machine perfectly', Jimmy...

Re: Failure 2 provide speciment with no reasonable excuse !!
Glad you got off OK, but a word or two of warning. The police HATE being seen as having got it wrong. Example. A few years back a friend was pulled up for speeding on his GSXR. He wouldn't have been in that area as it was a well known 'stop' place. He got his NIP & to cut a long story short he e...

Re: Been away for a couple of years and
Yeah Kev L. That did make me laugh as in your 'prediction'. Even funnier is, I work for a heathcare company and we do sell these mobility scooters too. Just too late Scott. Sold it on Saturday and chap coming to collect it this Saturday!!! Looks even better now (and sounds it too) with the carbon ca...

Re: Been away for a couple of years and
Well the '916' really wasn't getting used as a wrist issue (Oy, not 'cos of that) meant too much pressure on them what with me being 6'2" tall and the Duke sized liked a Mini Moto! I did get out and about a bit but after I moved house found the local bikers, well, cliquey I think is the term. I...

Been away for a couple of years and
see people are still bitchin' over the fastest colour Firestorms. Well it was yellow but even these were not as fast as the red '916' I've just sold.............so there!!!!!!

Re: Advice on 4 x 4 for £5000
My diesel Hyundai Tucson has 154,000 miles on it and climbing. Had it from new as a company car (55 plate) and it's a two wheel drive with switchable 4 wheel drive. Good all round vehicle which has towed trailers etc and cheap to buy s/hand now. Lots of toys as heated, powered turn mirrors, heated l...

Re: nice storm for sale
Well I like that colour scheme. Reminds me of the Ducatis in their '916' racing guise which is basically why Honda made the VTR to compete in the big 'V' twin market in the first place!!!!

Re: Flat spot rear tyre??????
Depends how much you value your life I guess? No dramatics, just that a repair can give out without warning and land you in hot doo doo if lucky ..........and worse if not.
Change 'em both and sharpen up that handling. You'll be amazed how much better the bike feels!!!!!

Re: tank vibration
Get your rock away from the tank. Wriggle your ass back, get tucked behind the screen and welly it everywhere you go :D I don't suffer with that but the tips of my little fingers go numb every now and then. Doesn't really bother me though cos I just move about changing riding positions every now an...
