im sorry to say noise under even load from the engine indicates small end bearings are shot by even i mean get it on a hill and hold a constant throttle riding it up there's also a few chains and quieting gears around the engine to that can make some strange noises try the steep hill first to see if...

before you pull the clutch out you have cleaned the operating rod for the clutch haven't you?? if you remove the sprocket cover you'll find a round ended rod that go's through the engine and operates the clutch you can get a build up of crud and rust were it passes through the oil seal that stops it...

They don’t do a DB test as such it’s down to the examiner if he thinks there to loud bike didn't come with the standard cans any way Chris but I’m not bothered by it just give me that hummmmmmmmm feeling for when the DB killers came out after the MOT and it’s not as loud as the storm was lol...
