The Firestorm is my first and only bike! Straight onto it from DAS, my instructor said "could you not get a smaller bike!"
2 years on and love it more and more as my experience grows

Spark plug change intervals
The old plugs have a thin thread and the new ones have a thicker (about 3 times as thick) cap.
Does this need to be removed? And how?

Spark plug change intervals
Hi, just started to do a service on my bike (first time - novice mechanic). I have bought NGK Iridium DPR9EIX-9 plugs and I'm not sure if I'm fitting them right. I have refitted them and torqued them up but the lead doesn't push down flush. Am I doing this right? Would water get into the plug and ...

WORKSHOP DAY.
Hey! Really good to meet all you guys yesterday and receive some help with the CCT's. It was great that everyone just chipped in and helped each other. Highlights for me (apart from gaining some mechanical confidence) was seeing Tony's original garden ornament - a storm no less! And seeing how Yeti ...

WORKSHOP DAY.
I'm really looking forward to this day, get some guidance on my CCT's and meet some fellow Stormers!! I'm relatively new to bikes and would like some basic maintenance tips (I can clean and polish the bike!!) Apart from some screwdrivers and small sockets, is there anything else you want me to bring ...

SHell V Power 5p of litre on Friday
I run my Lexus is220 diesel on v power every 4 or 5 fill ups. A bit smoky for 20 miles but then goes like a train - although no where near as quick as the 'storm!!

Re: Is it the CCT's?
Guys thanks for the quick replies, it was odd that I had downloaded Sirch's workshop guide to CCT's the day before with the plan of changing them over the winter as a bit of a project. The rattle could well be the clutch and I have read the recent thread from rider on a storm on this, so I will ...

Is it the CCT's?
Hi I know that this is a long discussed topic, but as a complete novice at all things mechanical I have noticed a small rattle (seems to be from the front) and the paranoia has set in.... First time that I heard it was after a 4 mile ride, park up for an hour and then start up slight rattle for next ...

Re: Service SE London/Kent
Thanks for the advise Tony.
Got prices from Watling and Sidcup a couple of days ago - £245ish fitted for a pair of Michelin Pilot Road 2's.
Rubber ranch is very close to me but unfortunately is shut until Monday and wanted them fitted this weekend.

Service SE London/Kent
Hi,
I need new tyres (Michelin Pilot Road 2) and also bike could do with a decent service. This being my first bike I have no previous experiences with good/bad dealers or garages to use.
Any recommendations for the South East London/Kent area?
