I read the technical articles of the forum and I see that many vtr have a problem with cct I have a varadero with 170000kh and before that I had another varadero with 110000kh. I never had a problem with cct. because the engines are almost the same could not be mounted by varadero;

yes Honda puts coloured dots on them that people interpret in many different ways as folk read the future using tea leaves. And yes Honda issued a new part no. on later auto CCTs but they still fail with alarming regularity. There are numerous horror story threads here on the consequences. Classic one was a new Storm owner having his fail after only 48 hours of ownership

They can be adjusted at the same time as when the valve clearances need measuring - but I've not had to look at mine in over 35,000 miles.
Have a read through this - some things might not be applicable to your Varadero but there's still quite a bit in common between the two Hondas i.e CCTs, R/R, shock linkages etc.

probably because I run it every day in winter and summer maybe that's why I had so many kilometers and I had no problem. once I had put 20W 50 oil and as the ambient temperature dropped when I started the engine it made a creepy noise for two seconds from the timing chain my engineer told me. with which I changed the oils all well.

It was the starter reduction gears
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
