been trawling for ages trying to find a post about tilting std silencers higher. any ideas? thanks
Re: upswept cans
I had some brackets made to give cans the upswept look.haynesjones66 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 1:55 pm been trawling for ages trying to find a post about tilting std silencers higher. any ideas? thanks
They will not work on standard cans because you have to move the mounting straps.
The ones I have use the std footrest hangers
The standard cans can be rotated up but you would have to make a different bracket to do it.

Re: upswept cans
good idea that, but there was someone on here using standard cans
Re: upswept cans
But why would you want to use standard cans? They're about four times the weight they need to be, and not, in my opinion, visually attractive.
If it's to avoid upsetting the neighbours, there are legal, quieter aftermarket options.
Also, if you're getting vibration through the footrests, changing the cans to aftermarket ones fixes it.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Re: upswept cans
valid point. bit short of cash so using what i have. although if anyone has some used stumpies i'd be interested. my proposed tail end is so short, long standard pipes look a bit daft, so its either tilt them up or short cans
Re: upswept cans
If you are using after market link pipes i have a set of delkevic stubbies here, iv only used them about 300 miles so as new with straps, they are loud mind you
