I had some brackets made to give cans the upswept look.

They will not work on standard cans because you have to move the mounting straps.

The ones I have use the std footrest hangers

The standard cans can be rotated up but you would have to make a different bracket to do it.

But why would you want to use standard cans? They're about four times the weight they need to be, and not, in my opinion, visually attractive.

If it's to avoid upsetting the neighbours, there are legal, quieter aftermarket options.

Also, if you're getting vibration through the footrests, changing the cans to aftermarket ones fixes it.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

valid point. bit short of cash so using what i have. although if anyone has some used stumpies i'd be interested. my proposed tail end is so short, long standard pipes look a bit daft, so its either tilt them up or short cans
