Re: Race tyres for daily road use?

I got the metzler racetec k2's if anyone wants them? £40 - bargain!?

With the hassle of getting them somewhere to be fitted and the wet weather over the lastfew day I bottled it :shh:, went for the lazy option, had some Maxxis fitted today!

Re: Race tyres for daily road use?

benny hedges, Did you go for the Presa Sport ones? For only £15 quid extra over the M5029's it's kinda odd pricing.

Cheers for the feedback!

Re: Race tyres for daily road use?

Cheers for the feedback all. I was about to buy some pilot road 2 but they were going to cost about 230 fitted at http://polepositionint.com/ I've ordered the Metzler scrubs anyway... maybe put them on for a trackday hopefully next month. Maxxis does seem to be the obvious choice on the forum. I'll ...

Race tyres for daily road use?

Hey all, just after your opinions on using race scrubs for commuting, bad idea? would they be a nightmare in the wet?

Really drawn to the price - starting from 40 quid for a rear! supercorsas, gp racers and metzler k2's.... lots of centre tread left.

Ta in advance

Re: Old Kent Road

I don't believe it. It's been a year since I picked up my Storm, and I've been riding her daily into town (Bromley to Southwark). Cracking bike! In that time I've seen two others on the road. This month, 4 or 5 bikes, all seen regularly. All reds and yellows. Seems they're common as muck in Autumn,...

I like too! that vtr1200 also looks top notch.

Do Honda plan to release another big v-twin? Why did they stop?

I can't image going back to big single or 4 pots....

There are a couple on ebay too.....

I have considered adding these to my bike, commuting is a bit harsh on the wrists - 'tank thigh huggin' has helped a lot tho.

Cheers for the info.

I think I'll try to get some off ebay.... I've just had a turn of heart. I actually think I'll keep it stock for a month or two, so I really know the difference.

Hi all, new to the forum and storms

Hi all, picked up my first firestorm this weekend. A 2001 yellow one (wasn't sure at first but the colours grown on me). Only had a blat down some local roads but first impressions are WOW. My last bike was a CCM R30, a gutless bike really esp. now. My storm is totally standard apart from larger scr...
