Top Tips: Ride the bloody thing. Fix it when it breaks. I've done more damage fiddling with something that was working ok than any other reason. Oh, and if you go everywhere flat out it saves having to look out for traffic from the rear. Only clean the bits you can see when sitting on it. The rest i...

You'll also find them inside the fairing lowers below the rads.
Often people don't replace them after they break, so if yours doesn't have any it's worht fiting a couple, just to make sure tha plastic doesn't rattle itself into cracks at the four bolted external mounting points (two each side).

Smooth Hammerite tarts 'em up nicely, just adjust them to one side, leave to dry properly (low oven is good) then move the ohter way and touch in the exposed unpainted bit.

If yuo remove the right hand side can then look into the 1-2 link pipe you'll see that a part of the pipe protrudes into the tube at the join about 2" in. This (as you can see by looking at previous threads) is to do with balancing the can pressure at full chat. Some people (me included) ground...

I had 12 on a Honda CB125 a few years ago at a rally.
Bent the rack, and could only pull away downhill!

That's what you get for offering a lift to the pub at a rally without a bar on site........

A Dunlop in first in the 250race sort of sets it right, though, doesn't it?

D'you think it's deliberate that it doesn't have BMW logos anywhere obvious? If they just left it black Carbon finish with no badges no=one need ever know.... Maybe, just maybe, I'll start thinking baout these the same way I do about Skoda's now- no longer a joke but not sure I could sleep at night ...

I've been caught out by these before.... the hole on the fairing is quit elarge, and needs the largest size indicators in the cats-eye style to cover it. Because of the contours of the fairing you'll probably get a slight gap at the fornt- annoying but not really noticeable. Ask for the measurements...

Before the VTR I've had bikes with shafts for a few years, but before that i always used to use split links... have they gone out of fashion or won't they stand the torque?

Never had a problem with one before....
