Vfr bars

Just wondering if anyones fitted them and if they made much difference, my bike needs braided hoses so could be a good opportunity to do the lot if it was worth the hassle

Wee update, bike is fixed, turned out to be a knackered fuel tap diaphragm, got one from nrp for £25, carbs needed a gd clean anyway, not a drop of smoke outta her now, running like a swiss watch, well happy!!

thanks jim,i got the carbs stripped down,the pilot jets were a bit gunked up,got everything cleaned,the chokes were gunked up so got them cleaned and put a new choke cable on.The tps is way out,it measured 1080 on the multimeter.il slot the holes and sort that. Thanks for the advice, sticky choke was somthing I had thought about, will check all your replies out,il do a full strip down and clean tommorrow, stuck on nightshift at the mo and im busting to get the bike fixed and get a run, she was down on power at the tt, almost like she was running on one ...

Took the bracket off that sits round top of chain and measured, its 4mm of play

In middle of doing stopper mod,the lock key slipped through the tape so im guessing here, cut a bit of stud 10 mm to begin with and ive put cct back in, how much play should there be in the chain in rear cylinder, mines prety solid and im worried its to tight, theres about 2mm max when I push chain ...

The idle on my bike keeps messing about, it does need the carbs balanced and i have gauges ordered, when i bought the bike it felt like it was gonna stall so i checked up and the idle was to low(900), i adjusted the idle when she was warm to 1100 - 1200 rpm, this was fine for a couple of days then ...

Wouldnt want to put anybody off going to a roadrace, it needs all the support It can get, just the nw attracts a lot of people who arent there for the racing and trouble has flared up in the past in the juniper section,apart from that its still a good days racing and all the big guns are out

The atmosphere of the nw is good but these last few years its been getting more and more expensive,because of its location theres a lot of non bikers turn up just to get drunk, nothing wrong with having a drink but theres been fights and a lot of bother along the coast road, so I steer well clear ...
